Serbia protests against Kosovo

FP shows a video of protesters breaking into the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade.

I especially love the way they describe
Slobodan Milosevic favorite technique--call in the crowds and let the mob mentality do the rest.

Currrent security situation in southern Thailand

Zachary Abuza writes about the current situation in southern Thailand.
The Thai insurgency remains the most violent conflict in the region, with no end in sight. It remains a low priority for Bangkok, the locus of inter-agency infighting, and an intelligence failure. The conflict clearly has the potential to grow both in scope and lethality as it enters year five.
I wrote an essay about the security problem in southern provinces of Thailand a few years ago, unfortunately, it's in Chinese. I'll see if I can translate and upload it during winter break.

Also, if friends from Thailand are reading this blog, feel free to comment or give us an "insider's" perspective of the situation.
